5月15日 NEW RULES UPDATEWe've been in the process of making some much needed changes around here.
To give you a quick update the following changes will be in effect beginning in our next contest in June:
1.) * There will be no more campaigning to other spaces allowed.
2.) * Your campaign for votes must be strictly limited to your own space and no others.
3.) * This also means your friends cannot post campaign blogs for you on their spaces.
4.) * NO MORE GOING TO SPACES ASKING FOR VOTES.
5.) * Do not ask for votes by using the new “send a message” option in blogs.
Why the changes?
It’s simple; that is not how the Hall of Fame was meant to be.
The new rule means people have actually seen your space and
decided to vote for it and not just blindly vote because they were
asked to vote in a comment. Also, many people have complained that
they don’t like the practice of being asked for votes in comments.
But remember you can campaign and blog for votes all you like in your own space.
How we try to prevent cheating
We do our best and we visit each voters spaces to find the multiples, but we can’t find them all, some slip through, no system I can find is going to perfect.
-We have IP tracers, this can tell us when the votes are coming from the same person.
-We also have lists of people known to have multiple spaces. We don’t always delete their votes but they are never counted.

4月14日 SHOF NEWSPlease note the new changes we've made at THE HALL OF FAME:
We’ve dropped the one win only rule
But you cannot win in 2 consecutive months (with the exception of The Space of The Year Competition). So for example if you win in May you cannot be nominated or win again until July or later.
NEW SHOF SCHEDULE BEGINS IN MAY
Upcoming competitions will now be held once a month and we will have 3 categories each month.
Nominations ~the 1st to the 10th of each month
Voting ~the 11th to the 21st
Winners Announced ~the 22nd or 23rd
Please note SHOF closes to halt voting and do the count
*These dates are tentative for now and may be changed
NEW SHOF CALENDAR
We’ve added a SHOF Calendar on the left. This gives you all the categories that will be up for nominations each month for the next year. Now you don’t have to wonder when your favorite categories will be up next.
New rules for HOLIDAY THEMES
If your Holiday Theme is on a second space we are now allowing it.
We ask that your holiday space remain open for a minimum of 2 months after you win.
For all the people who have a second space please remember the rule is only one vote per person, not per space. This rule provides fairness to others.

So here goes.. we'll induct a new person each week.. by votes of course. Now shut up.. lol, I know there wasn't an official vote on Doug, but since he gave me the idea to do this, he gets it anyways..(plus there were other people that nominated him). And we will have official votings for all nominees, with a new winner being made every saturday. So keep checking the nominations comments and place your votes in the VOTES comment section. Rule #2 include links to both your space and the person you are nominating.. this is more of a courtesy because no links really piss me off lol Rule #3 someone has to nominate you, you cannot nominate yourself, although you will be allowed to vote for yourself. Rule #4 more rules will be added, and may be changed at any given time :P lmao..enjoy!! :D |
